MEET YOUR ADVOCACY PARTNER

Sally Lewis, CEO

After numerous healthcare system encounters with family

members and friends, it became clear to me that, although

most clinicians and staff are caring and competent, the environment

is complex, confusing and often inconsistent.  Sometimes its many moving parts are not well-integrated, potentially leading to errors, miscalculations and less-than-desirable outcomes.

I frequently wonder what happens to people who don't have someone looking out for their welfare. Are the patient's values being considered and are their needs being met?  Who is asking the questions?  Who is keeping track of prescriptions, appointments, tests, therapists and treatments?

When the answers seemed largely unsatisfying, I became fully committed to helping patients and their families solve real-life issues that affect their health and well-being.

Testimonials

"Sally led us to the appropriate individuals who could act to resolve a claim that was not covered by our insurance. Her expertise was essential in winning our case. We saved close to $25,000 in out-of-pocket medical bills with her assistance". — Mike and Tracy Gearhart

"Our family was thrown into an unbelievably hard situation when our aging parents were critically ill within months of each other. We were faced with many difficult decisions in a very short time. When we found out our dad was going into hospice, Sally was such a kind, listening ear. She explained options, coached us with empathy, and kept her door open whenever we had questions. Sally is someone we count as a blessing in our lives."  — Sherry Hassler

"Until five years ago, I was in the hospital three times in my life:  twice for the births of my children and once for a tonsillectomy when I was 22. Then five years ago, well into my seventies, I lived through a perforated colon, a sigmoid colectomy which then became infected, a broken wrist and a full hip replacement. As a single woman with no familial help, I would have been in a bind.  Fortunately, Sally Lewis was available to advocate on my behalf.  Not only was she able to understand the difficult medical jargon, she also was able to be with me at appointments. And, when I introduced her to my medical providers, I could see from their reactions that my questions and concerns were going to be taken much more seriously. I cannot begin to express how comforting it was to have a knowledgeable, supportive champion in my corner. While I am not hoping to need her assistance in the near future, I am confident that if I need her help, she will be there for me!" — Sue Arkfeld
